About Barefoot

Being a mother is exciting, albeit exhausting work. You're constantly trying to be the best, do the best and find the best. Your baby's first steps are one of the most exciting milestones for her and you. This particular milestone (like the others) brings with it, a new checklist: baby proofing upgrade, readjusting the crib and finding the right pair of shoes!! Numerous types of shoes are on the market, but which ones are best for a new walker?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) says children learn to walk by gripping their toes on the ground and they don't need arch support.  However shoes should be lightweight and flexible to support natural foot movement and should be made of leather or mesh to allow your baby's feet to breathe comfortably. It’s best to be barefoot to aid with better balance and to avoid foot developmental issues. However, living in Pakistan most houses do not have central heating or air-conditioning, which leave you with warm or cool floors, add constant dust to that and you have floors which are not ideal for shoe-less baby adventures. Now those happy feet can easily cruise on hardwood, tiled or carpeted floors.

Which is why Barefoot gives you soft soled, beautifully crafted, genuine leather shoes for your baby and toddler that are beneficial for the healthy development of baby, infant and toddler feet.

It’s just like being barefoot!
